Over the span of one month in 2024, I turned 40 years old, and lost my dad to cancer. Both felt like major milestones, with nothing comparable that could have actually prepared me for it.
But 40 sure feels like an initiation.
It’s this beautiful combination of feeling like I have my whole life ahead of me, while simultaneously feeling like there is no more time to “waste”.
It’s being undeniably ready to get on with life in a more meaningfully way.
It’s about:
Refusing to “waste” any time on anything that isn’t fulfilling to me.
Getting on with what I came here to do and not focusing my time on anything that will distract.
Being so ready to leave everything behind that isn’t going to serve my greater purpose in life.
And so I am sharing this with you as my theme heading into 2025:
Make this year about striving for fulfillment, rather than success. I can guarantee that focusing on what actually lights you up from the inside out will lead you to far greater life experiences than if you were to just focus on attaining a goal or outcome.
Buckle up for my next few posts where we’ll dissect the difference between success and fulfillment.
It’s time for a paradigm shift.
With love,
Laura
